Taichung Jazz Festival, the most renown music event in Taichung, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year!
As a pioneering jazz festival in Asia, Taichung Jazz Festival endeavors with uncompromising quality and aspiration to become Asia’s largest jazz festival. 51 groups of talents stationed in 5 venues will take you on a 9-day jazz expedition full of brilliance and unforgettable memories. In particular, the festival this year collaborates with two other major jazz festivals in Asia, “Tokyo Jazz Festival” in Japan and “Jarasum International Jazz Festival” in South Korea. The friendly exchange of performances is certainly a positive integration of jazz momentum in Asia which lays the foundation of an Asian jazz music and culture platform to be established in the future.
Events take place at the main stage in Taichung Citizen Plaza and a side stage situated in the middle section of Calligraphy Greenway. The two-stage arrangement intends to engage music lovers in a variety of live performances featuring two different vibes. Meanwhile, a street artist area in the Citizen Plaza near Gongyi Road is designated to create an even more diverse and celebrative jazz ambience.
