Tank Park is located at the end of Tanya Shen Green Bikeway on Yuexiang Road in Daya District. It used to be a military property but was unused for a long time. Taichung City Government renovated the abandoned railway transport roads into a cozy park that has a walking trail, public toilet, resting seats, pavilion and plaza.
There are three M48A3 tanks in Tank Park. These massive vehicles that survived wars were decommissioned and are now exhibited to the general public. M48A3 tank is a later version of M48 tank developed by the United States to combat the Russian made T-34/85 tanks in North Korea in 1950 when the Korean War started. Early test model T48 with a 90mm gun was designed by Detroit Tank Arsenal in October 1950. On July 1st 1952, Chrysler officially launched M48 Patton.
