2026 Taichung International Dance Carnival

The 2026 Taichung International Dance Carnival will take place in grand style on September 12 (Saturday) and 13 (Sunday), 2026, spanning Tanzi District, Houli District, Beitun District, and North District in Taichung City. Through vibrant street dance performances, the city's streets will be transformed into dynamic outdoor stages. The event brings together domestic and international performance troupes, diverse cultural and artistic showcases, and locally distinctive tourism resources, connecting nearby attractions, shopping districts, and cultural venues to create an annual celebration that unites culture, tourism, and international exchange. In addition, the Street Fun Dance Competition will be held in Tanzi District and Beitun District during the event, inviting dance and performance enthusiasts from across Taiwan to gather in Taichung, forge friendships through dance, and experience the passion and charm of the carnival together!

Locations: Tanzi District, Houli District, Beitun District, and North District, Taichung City (street dance performances); the Street Fun Dance Competition will be held at two venues in Tanzi District and Beitun District
Event Dates: September 12 (Saturday)–September 13 (Sunday), 2026
Fun Competition Sessions:
Tanzi Session: September 12 (Saturday), 15:00–16:30
Shengli Road (from the intersection with Tanxing Road Section 3 to the side gate of Tan-show Junior High School)
Beitun Session: September 13 (Sunday), 15:00–16:30
Fengle 3rd Street to Fengle Road Section 2 (from the side gate of Ssu-Chang-Li Junior High School to Sizhangli Park)
Registration Deadline: August 21, 2026 (if many teams register, the organizer may begin earlier at its discretion)
Fee: Free registration for the Street Fun Dance Competition
Team Eligibility: A minimum of 10 members per team; open to all ages, occupations, and backgrounds. Teams may register for both the Tanzi and Beitun sessions; however, individual participants may not be registered more than once for the same session.
