    With the theme of “Fun Trip to Taichung”, Lantern Festival Central Taiwan 2016 creates a its mascot, big-mouthed monkey dressed as magnificent Sun Wukong to symbolically look after the well-being and happiness of people all year around. The lantern festival holds celebration events on three different locations with over a hundred lanterns and exclusively-planned programs in order to attract people all over Taiwan or from overseas to participate.
   Lantern Festival Central Taiwan 2016 will take place in Taichung Park, Taichung City Seaport Art Center in Qingshui, and Huludun Park in Fengyuan between February 17 and 29, 2016, making an extraordinary lantern feast filled with art vibes for thirteen days.
Lantern Festival Central Taiwan 2016 will kick off on February 17 at 7:00 pm in Huludun Park in Fengyuan. Then, the lantern events will continue to start on February 17 at 8:30 pm in Taichung City Seaport Art Center in Qingshui. The series of activities will finally begin on February 18 at 7:00 pm in Taichung Park. Those events of Lantern Festival Central Taiwan 2016 together would generate beautiful and romancing scenes and also add up joyful festival atmosphere, helping to showcase the energetic and fun sides of Taichung City.
