The 2025 Taichung Christmas Carnival will be grand from December 12th to January 1st next year. This year, with the theme of "life in the corner (Sumikko Gurashi)," the city government will create a large-scale Christmas event that makes people feel relaxed and healed. The leading light is an 18-meter-tall Christmas tree located in the square in front of the old Taichung Railway Station, inspired by a thousand-layered cream cake, and making a dreamy appearance. The popular characters from Life in the Corner will also transform into giant inflatable dolls, surrounding the Christmas tree, bringing a sense of complete happiness. 

The activity scope extends to the Liuchuan Canal and Lyuchuan Canal Waterfront Corridors, with diverse characteristic light zones set up, each filled with check-in surprises. Besides, the old railway station square also hosts a Christmas market. It features exciting arts and cultural performances every Friday through Sunday evening, allowing citizens to immerse themselves in the lively, colorful Christmas atmosphere while enjoying the lights and shopping at the market.
