The one and only historic elementary school in Taiwan that is both an educational and cultural heritage
It takes only 5 to 10 minutes to walk from Qingshui Railway Station to Qingshui Elementary School where you will find a pillared hallway, British-style red-brick walls and wooden Japanese-style dormitories built in the Japanese colonial rule. If you are interested in exploring more of the historic elementary school, make sure you visit after school hours.

Located right across Taichung City Seaport Art Center, Qingsui Military Dependents’ Village Cultural Park features historic houses and beautiful window grills. In addition to art installations, it is revitalized with occasional art exhibitions and pop-up markets that draw visitors on weekends.
Other than the renowned Qingshui rice cakes, Sergeant’s Handmade Noodles nearby Qingshui Military Dependents’ Village Cultural Park is a highly recommended dish as well. The thickness of the noodles varies since it is handmade. Drizzled with a specialty sauce mixed with fried garlic, the incredible taste of this simple-looking local dish will definitely linger for the longest you have experienced.
