Taiwan Printing Discovery Center is a printing factory subordinate to the Ministry of Finance. As the first printing factory in Taiwan opened for tourism, it is also the first to disclose the printing process of uniform-invoices to tourists of all ages. Visitors can check out the invoice production room, printing hall, monotype DIY area and a cultural and creative shop. What’s more, there is a replicate of Gutenberg’s Printing Press which printed the first bible. Visitors can learn about the history of printing, the invention uniform-invoice and typographic printing. Through the exhibits, visitors will also understand how a book is printed and what significant impact has printing brought to the world. Printing DIY activities at Taiwan Printing Discovery Center are highly recommended to visitors with kids. DIY items include handmade books, resin prints, clocks, etc. Please note that an online reservation is required for general visits and DIY activities. Also, as the invoice production room will not be operating on holidays, visitors will only see machineries instead of the manufacturing process on a public holiday.
