Taichung will soon have a stunning welcoming river! The Water Resources Bureau of the Taichung City Government has designed a 1.8-kilometer-long "welcoming waterfront corridor" on the high bank on the left side of Fazi River, stretching from Yongchun East Road to Taichung THSR Station. This corridor showcases the beauty of riverside landscapes and offers waterfront spaces adorned with landscape installation arts, waterfront promenades, and a 3D textured landmark.
Renowned as the international facade of Taichung, Fazi River stretches between the Taichung High-Speed Rail railway and Provincial Highway 74. As you approach Taichung on a THSR train, simply glance out of the window and, when you spot the landmark, you will know that you have arrived in Taichung.

To ensure flood control and preserve the local ecology, culture, and landscape, the Taichung City Government has constructed an internationally renowned welcoming river. This project has significantly enhanced the comfort level of the local waterfront environment while providing people with accessible spaces for ecological education. Moreover, it has created a healthy, leisurely, and LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) corridor within the greater Taichung area, establishing itself as a must-visit destination for visitors to Taichung.
As the international facade of Taichung, Fazi River showcases the rich ecological resources of the river. It presents different spectacles during sunrise, sunset, and at night. We invite citizens to visit Fazi River frequently and indulge in the diverse riverside scenery it offers.
