Located in the Dakeng Scenic Area, Dakeng Ecological Park is fondly known as " Back Garden of Taichung " and is the ideal destination for up-close encounters with the local natural environment and its flora and fauna. The park features seasonal ecological programs: in spring, visitors can enjoy blooming flowers, watch fireflies, and observe butterflies; summer puts rhinoceros beetles in the spotlight; autumn focuses on exploring diverse plant seeds; and in winter, visitors can admire the graceful flight of blue tiger butterflies.
The park offers a variety of ecological experiences, guiding visitors to observe insect behaviors and learn about the symbiotic relationships between plants and insects in the Dajia River basin. On weekends, professional volunteers provide scheduled guided tours, while on weekdays, groups can book environmental education programs in advance.
