2016 Taichung Dongshi Xin Ding Ban Festival

This year,the festiveal revolves around the concept of “gaining back the original flavor and extending the memory of traditions”, it’s also going to hold xinding ban competition together with some exclusively planned and splendid activities, such as “Hakka Carnival Parade”, “Hakka Crafts Street”, etc.
- Hakka Carnival Parade
Content: To invite guests of honor from the greater China region and Japan to bring more global attention to the event. The route of the carnival parade is as follows: Dongshi Hakka Culture Park- Zhongshan Road- Sanmin Street- 1st Side Street- Fengshi Road- Zhongshan Road- Dongshi Hakka Culture Park.
- Grand Opening
Content: To present the annual wooden mascot, mascot and hold the ceremony of cutting both gui ban and tao ban of 120 kilograms.
- Super Exhibition of Xin Ding Ban of 120 kilograms

Content: Besides a still exhibition, at the end of the event, there will be ban-cutting to give away xinding ban to whoever participates in the event.

Content: To highlight the local important traditional activity for celebrating the Lantern Festival as well as to unite the spirits of the locals.
- Xin Ding Celebration Karaoke
Content: To offer a professional stage and karaoke equipment to invite people to sing along.
