Introduction

Anchor
Situated in North District, Banana New Paradise offers old-time Taiwanese meals, displays daily appliances in early times and introduces history. The replica of Japanese-style architectures and old streets in Taiwan offer a nostalgic narrative, inviting visitors to delve into the early memories of living in Taiwan.
Banana New Paradise is a retro restaurant featuring old street looks of the 60s and 70s in Taiwan. All stores are replicated from existing stores from the past. At the end of the street sits Le Wu Theater in which a collection of movies belonging to the owner, Wu Chuan-Chi is on display. There is also a train museum where old time daily appliances are exhibited in turns to enable visitors to reminisce the daily life of an ordinary Taiwanese in a previous era.
Banana New Paradis is now more known as a Chinese restaurant that allows gourmets to learn more about Taiwan in the past and appreciate Taiwanese architectures.

    OK food, interesting decor

    Traveler rating:3 2016-10

The food is average for Taiwan but the old style decor is cool and interesting. Good with kids as there are lots of kids friendly dishes and interesting decor to entertain them throughout lunch.
