Come to the Serial Events of Children Painting at the Youth Career Base in Taichung
The Department of Labor, Taichung City Government and the youth at the Career Base have jointly organized the serial events of “Star Picking and Fun Children Painting-Go to Picnic with Your Kids” by planning diverse and interesting events of painting and parent-child experiential courses. Parents are welcome to bring their kids to Shenji New Village and Guangfu New Village for painting, concerts, and DIY events!
The Department of Labor pointed out that the serial events of “Star Picking and Fun Children Painting-Go to Picnic with Your Kids” are launched between now and April 30th. Children under 12 (including) are invited to the Youth Career Base at Shenji New Village (Fun Fun Toy and Yushilab) and Guangfu New Village (Youth Career Service Center) to pick up free and limited painting paper for their creative works.
They then can mail their works to the Youth Career Service Center at Guangfu New Village (at #2-3, Heping Rd., Wufeng District) before 12:00 at noon on April 6th (as the post date on the stamp mark). The organizers will pick up 100 top works to award them with prizes and certificates and the winners will display their works between April 11th and 30th at the Guangfu New Village.
Additionally, the Department of Labor especially plans to host the “Speedy Portrait at Guangfu” painting event at the same time on March 28th. At Guangfu New Village, two painting mentors will teach painting techniques outdoors with “mobile painting teaching.” All contestants are welcome to take part!
During the consecutive holidays between April 2nd and 5th, moreover, street artists of performing arts and ceramic making, baking, leather carving, ceramic plate coloring, and various DIY experiential courses are arranged at the Guangfu New Village. The first five registrants to each round of event can enjoy the discount of NTD150, the best and unique gift for kids for Children’s Day in 2020.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Labor stressed that alcohol based hand sanitizers have been prepared and the designated staff offers body temperature measurement services for indoor events.
Environmental disinfection will be conducted for outdoor fields to better protect the public health. We are sorry that any child or parent with body temperature higher than 37.5 ℃ will not be allowed to enter the indoor spaces.
