Budokan Martia Arts Hall
The Place to Go for Art and Tea
Unparalleled Japanese Zen tranquility, the only remaining Martial Arts Hall from Japanese Colonial Period.
With a strong Zen atmosphere and large onigawara (literally ogre tiles) adorned with the character "武" (martial art), this place is the only remaining dojo (the training field of martial arts) from the Japanese colonial period where the wardens and policemen practice their Judi and Kendo. Visitors can immerse themselves in a serene Japanese ambiance.

Taichung Literature Museum
A Quiet Getaway in Downtown
It is a ten-minute walk from Natural Way Six Arts Cultural Center to Taichung Literature Museum. The museum was a cluster of police dormitories in the Japanese colonial period. A magnificent 18 meter high old ficus tree at the entrance greets visitors to the museum. There are six main buildings including regular exhibition hall, themed exhibition hall, dining area, etc. The literature park right next to the museum features beautiful wall calligraphy. It is definiTELy a place highly recommended to visitors who are into the art of Chinese characters and literature.
